How to book

Please telephone on 01497 820520, fax us on 01497 820520, or e-mail sally@clyrohillfarm.co.uk to confirm that the cabin you want is available. We will provisionally book you in by taking your name address and telephone number. This will hold the cabin for you for 7 days, until we receive a completed booking form and a deposit of 25% of the cost of the holiday or full amount if the start date is less than 8 weeks away.  If the start of your holiday is less than 2 weeks away, we require credit card, pay pal payment or bank transfer.  Cheques may be sent if your holiday is 8 weeks or more away.

Short Breaks


Short breaks are not available during peak weeks, school holidays, Bank holidays or public holidays, unless there is late availability.
3 night short breaks start on Friday.
4 night short breaks start on Saturdays or Mondays.
We are very flexible about arrival and departure, but please speak to us to discuss arrival and departure times.
We will always try and fit in with your plans for a holiday, so please contact us if you want a break starting on different days!

Special Discounts


Special discount weeks are only available during low and mid season and not during school holidays, Bank or public holidays, unless there is late availability.  Max of 2 adults per family (i.e. 4 per cabin) and children must be pre-school age.

Booking Form


Please read and complete the booking form and return to us with your deposit/full payment plus any extras, within 7 days of making a reservation.

Payment Details


Payments can be made by cheque, credit/debit card, pay pal, money order or bank transfer.

Pay pal or Bank Transfer: please e-mail us to confirm when you have made the payment.

When we have received your booking form and deposit/payment, we will send a receipt/ invoice with the due date for the balance on it.  The balance is due 8 weeks before the start date of your holiday.
2 weeks before your holiday starts, please contact us to discuss your arrival time and any special requirements.

Christmas & New Year.


One home reared, free-range 4Kg – 6KG organic turkey is included in the cost of your stay at Christmas and New Year.  If you require a larger bird please discuss it with us at the time of booking.  There may be an additional cost involved.  We usually have real Christmas trees available and free of charge, so please reserve one at the time of booking.  You may put up decorations, but please use drawing pins and blue tack only and take them down before your departure.  Christmas lights must be switched off and unplugged whilst you are out and when you are in bed. 

Lamb/ Beef Joint


Your holiday is inclusive of a choice of our own home reared organic lamb or beef joint.  Please discuss your requirements when booking your holiday.   All guests at Clyro Hill are entitled to receive discounts on organic meat purchased during their stay or by mail order on their return home

Linen & Towels


Pillows and bedding in the form of duvets and blankets are provided in both log cabins.  There is enough bedding for 8 people per cabin.  All linen and towels are provided free of charge.  Please bring your own mattress protectors for small children.

Cots & Highchairs/Boosters


One travel cot and highchair/booster chair is available for each cabin upon request.  No linen is supplied for the cots.

Heating charges


All heating and fuel costs are included in the price.  Logs and firelighters are included for Tony’s cabin.

TV/Freesat and mobile phone reception 


Television/ Freesat and mobile phone reception are good at both log cabins.

Keys


The keys will be the responsibility of the hirer during their stay and any costs incurred through loss, damage, loss of access to the property or keys not being returned to their original collection point, will be charged to the Client in full.

Water & Sewer


Both cabins have natural spring water supply and mains pressure pumps.  The water is filtered with an ultra violet filter, and water quality is regularly inspected by Powys County Council environmental health.  A certificate of this inspection is available at both cabins.  Please be considerate of your water consumption during your stay as there is only limited water storage.
Both cabins have private septic tanks fitted.  Therefore only toilet paper must be flushed down the toilet.  Please use bins provided for all other items. Please only use the cleaners provided for toilets and drains.

Maintenance


Occasionally it may be necessary for maintenance and/or gardening to be carried out during your stay.  We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause, if it occurs.

Dogs


A maximum of 2 dogs are permitted to each log cabin.  They are only accepted on the strict understanding they are:-
. Never left alone in the property
. Kept under control at all times
. That guests bring bedding and food bowls for their dogs.
. Not permitted in bedrooms or on furniture.
. All dogs are up to date with flea and worming treatments.
. That you accept total responsibility for your pet and its actions. i.e cleaning up mess etc.  Failure to comply will lead to your liability for dealing with ensuing problems and costs.

We would also remind you that we have organic poultry and sheep on the farm, and your dogs must be kept well away from the livestock.  You are permitted to walk dogs on the fields (better dog toilets than the lawns), providing they are kept on a lead.  Please discuss with us,  the areas where you are allowed access on your arrival.

Play equipment


There are various items of play equipment available for children to use.  These include a swing, climbing frame and trampoline.  Children are permitted to use these during their stay provided they are under adult supervision.  Apart from death or injury caused by our own negligence, we disclaim any responsibility for any injuries incurred whilst using the equipment.  Please ask us on arrival for a list of equipment and its location.

Decking and Balconies


The decking and balcony around each cabin is for access and hand-railing is for safety.  It is not permitted to climb on or over these items at any time.
